The Disparity in Dreams and Goals…

Everyone has a dream and wished it fulfilled, but getting these dreams fulfilled is so vague and fuzzy to the so-called dreamers, hence a vast majority of people are indirectly left in totally obscurity on getting their dreams fulfilled. Dreams come true, YES, but with the right inspiration. No dream is fulfilled without inspiration. No wonder every great mind is able to achieve great things only because something motivated and inspired them to acquire the desired goals we admire today.

From the previous text, I suppose it is evident that the inspiration to fulfilling your dreams is your goals; a product of your creative thinking and work. However, dreams by themselves are just dreams. They exist only in your mind or imagination. Well, I’m pretty sure we share same content meaning for dream. Howbeit, dream by the Merriam-Webster dictionary is an idea or vision that is created in your imagination and that is not real.

Further ascertaining, Ralph Waldo Emerson said “dare to live the life you have dreamed for yourself. Go forward and make your dreams come true.” Yes, “daring” is the key phrase! You will never live your dreams if you don’t “dare.” They’ll never come alive if you don’t set goals. It requires hard work and must be laser-focused, which is why you must dare by increasing your skills and abilities, because they are grounded in the reality of your world.

A goal is daring and is all about action; it’s something you’re acting upon. It’s simply an attempt at scoring your dreams, because there’s a deadline. No wonder Napoleon Hill wrote “a goal is dream with a deadline.” But it is appalling to learn that everyone has a dream, but very few have a goal. As a matter of fact, a whopping mass of people justify and maintain dreams their entire lives without ever reaching them. Howbeit, goals are pricey; they’re demanding.

Conclusively, dreams are inspiring and magnify our imagination, yet goals are inspirations that magnify us. Consequently, Vincent van Gogh wrote “I dream my painting, I paint my dreams.” Don’t just have dreams, but also act them, because “if you can dream it, you can do it…” says Walt Disney. “Some men give up their designs when they have almost reached the goal; while others, on the contrary, obtain a victory by exerting, at the last moment, more vigorous efforts than before” says Herodotus Polybius.

Have big dreams, but make sure your goals are weighty!
