Introducing the New Africa , We are Africans!

In a long time was we; just we wallowing in the mire. We were composed of stories and tales, cravings and intense desire for a great and better tomorrow. We were trying not to become a resultant of our savage and ferocious past. We are naturally endowed and made so beautiful, yet trying to become something that only exists in the artificial, hence we only existed in trying. This was our habitual routine round the clock.

As each year crashes, and the New Year unfolds, our task to becoming a better “we” translates into an impossible mission; it seemed so thick. Nonetheless, as our chances got hard-bitten, we got tough and tougher in our determination to figure out this vague pursuit. We resorted to our friends and neighbors to help crack this rigid-shelled quest, but out of vileness, ugliness and sheer wickedness, they tried robbing our natural attributes and beauty.

We worked harder, each time with a good natured tolerance that someday we would be that better “we.” With much yearning and hard work, just in accordance to Dr. Schuler’s thought which reads “tough times never last, but tough people do.” Lo and behold, we were able to achieve that the world deemed unachievable; it was totally unlikely and inconvincible. It was a real hit for good; a reflection of graciousness and perplexity.

Don’t be puzzled, we are Africans! Surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea from the north to the northeast, southeast and the west, we dwell in the world’s second largest and second most populous continent, Africa, with over 1.1 billion people in the recent years, which sourced the world’s finest relics, ranging from religious art crafts to fossils. Yet, it holds an exceeding great quantity of mineral resources, which is one of the greatest plus ever.

Still and yet, we are Africans! A great people made so strong and happy; a people zealous in work, strong in will, and rigid in all conditions; a people made so beautiful. Yes, we are Africans! We fought our ways through harshness to victory, striving to be a nation. We transformed slavery to liberty; it was an earnest warfare for freedom, recognition and indefinite transformation. Hmm, need I say more?

Yes, we made Africa so adoring. Yet it is appalling to see how we had deviated from our heritage. Some had forgotten their languages and gone in extinction to the foreign land; some translated their offspring to foreign lands; others taint their image by perpetuating iniquity; to others, our culture has turned so primitive and archaic. Further saddening, we tend to value and prefer the interests and achievements of the other continents to ours.

Howbeit, I proffer we stop these drifting, and start fighting for awareness of sameness, not as one commonwealth, sovereignty or nation, but as a continent. Let’s embark on warfare to becoming a stronger continent, which in turn makes us a tough entity. Let’s make the Africa future rosy and shiny for our unborn Africans. Let’s restore the pride of being an African. Let’s kick off for a better, united and caring Africa. Let’s introduce the new Africa NOW!
